Behind the scenes at ScooterCityInc.Com

Posted in 1 with tags , , , , , , , , , , , on August 2, 2008 by scootercityinc1

Scooter City.Comhas has experienced many changes in it’s appearance and presence on the web in the past few years. In this post we’ll be going behind the scenes on how the site was created. Mark the owner of Scooter City Inc. in Island Park teamed up with a local web and graphic designer, Jonathan Marra of designsbyjonathan.com. “The web site took on a totally different feel when Jonathan jumped onto the site. Our national business on-line has grown tremendously, I don’t know where our internet sales would be without him”,When the site was first launched the plan was to grow the business with a local following but also to have a presence on-line for customers across the country. We asked Jonathan what his thoughts were on the launching of the new web site. ”When Mark and I first sat down to talk about the web site I told him I wanted the site to help grow the business while still being interesting to the viewer. Too many sites nowadays are just pushing sales and often lack a visually appealing experience. I wanted ScooterCityInc.com to be a combination of both for it’s audience. I think we really achieved that with the feedback we’ve received and the growing number of visitors. I’m hoping with the introduction of the blog we’ll have an even greater audience that can come together.” Theres no doubt about it, the web site has experienced a great amount of growth and definitely has proven it’s appeal to its fans. We wanted to thank Jonathan for his continued development and marketing efforts on the ScooterCityInc.com website. For more information about the development of ScooterCityInc.Com and Jonathan’s graphic and web design work visit www.designsbyjonathan.com .

A couple of satisfied customers

Posted in 1 on July 23, 2008 by scootercityinc1

We wanted to post some of the emails that have been coming in from some of our satisfied customers. It’s always nice to hear the great stories.

We love the Bennelli. Thank you! You knew right away which scooter we should get and provided world-class service. EVERYONE is riding it and loving it. – Tim, Pennsylvania.

Heres another story from a recent customer in New York.

I did want to let you know that people have seen me riding her and asking me for more information. They love the fact that it sips gas, moves the way it does and is easy to ride. At least once a day, I’ve been handing your phone number and website out.  2 days ago it was a guy in my neighborhood riding a 50cc Honda scooter and wanting something with more power. Yesterday it was the super of a building on the west side of Manhattan. Today it was someone driving a mid-sized SUV who rolled his window down to ask me at a stoplight on Gun Hill Road in the Bronx who told me he’s tired of filling up his gas tank. You’ve helped me every step of the way regarding this bike so far and knowing you will be there for me if and when the scooter needs work has been and will be invaluable in peace of mind.

Thanks again!

Joel, New York

We’ll be posting more stories and testimonials in the near future. Thank you everyone for your emails and great stories, we look forward to hearing from you. Ride safe!

Taking a ride to Oregon

Posted in The Latest Stories with tags , , , , , on July 4, 2008 by scootercityinc1

Well one of the first road trips i made with my  Super Strada 300 CC TE was to Oregon. I had my scooter shipped to California and made the trip up. It was really quite the experience. There is nothing like a road trip on the highways in the United States. Often we take means of transportation where we can never see the open land or natural resources this great country offers. With my 300CC and my gear I was on my way. Next time around I think I’ll take my bike down south. After one road trip on your bike you start planning for the next one. I heard groups out there set up these road trips. I’ll be sure to keep you guys posted on any future trips, Strada really made a great bike with this 300 CC TE!

Scooting at Penn State

Posted in The Latest Stories with tags , , , , , , on July 4, 2008 by scootercityinc1

As students at Penn State University notice the rising gas prices and the empty wallets many have taken a liking to the motor scooter. As students pile off campus in there automobiles a great number are committed to returning with other forms of transportation. Many are opting for the motor scooter. The cost of tuitions these days as well as all other aspects of living is just making it nearly impossible to keep up with today’s rising gas prices. Penn State is just one of the many universities reporting of the growth of scooters on campus. It looks like the scooter community is taking a great following on college campus’s around the U.S.
